Why StoryFlow Exists

Staying visible matters. But maintaining that visibility should not become another job.

StoryFlow helps authors and businesses maintain a useful, consistent social presence with less of the recurring work of deciding what to post, creating it, and keeping the process moving.

Where it started

StoryFlow began with authors.

For years I’ve been involved in creative communities, including hosting writing groups on Meetup for more than a decade. Those communities are full of talented people who care deeply about their craft and about helping each other grow.

But one pattern kept appearing.

Authors were spending hours every week trying to stay visible online — planning posts, creating content, and trying to keep Facebook and Instagram active — when what they really wanted to do was write.

StoryFlow grew out of seeing that tension firsthand and wanting to create a simpler way forward.

The bigger realization

The problem was never limited to authors.

The more we looked at the problem, the clearer something became: businesses face much the same recurring burden.

A business may have years of expertise, valuable services, completed projects, customer questions, reviews, photos, offers, and useful knowledge — but someone still has to continually decide what should become social content.

When the owner or staff gets busy, social media is often one of the first things to become inconsistent.

The audiences are different, but the underlying problem is remarkably similar.

People have a story worth telling. Staying visible should not require them to continually stop doing their real work in order to tell it.

StoryFlow today

One idea. Two different experiences.

StoryFlow for Authors

StoryFlow helps authors keep their social media active without constantly wondering what to post next to stay connected with readers.

The platform is built around books, author brands, reader visibility, and giving writers more room for writing, publishing, and life.

StoryFlow for Business

StoryFlow for Business is a managed social-presence service built around the services, expertise, customers, projects, offers, and activity already inside a company.

StoryFlow develops useful social content and handles the recurring content process so the business can stay visible without running its own content operation.

The bigger idea

Everyone has a story that sells.

For an author, that story may be a body of work, a new release, a character, a reader community, or the ideas behind the books.

For a business, it may be years of expertise, the problems it solves, the people it serves, the projects it completes, or the knowledge its customers value.

StoryFlow exists to help keep those stories in front of the people who matter — without requiring the people behind them to manage every post themselves.

Where we came from still matters

Supporting authors and creative communities.

StoryFlow’s roots remain in the writing community, and creative communities continue to be an important part of what we do.

Writing groups, workshops, and author communities are often built through years of work by people who genuinely care about helping writers succeed.

Through the StoryFlow partner program, those communities can share StoryFlow for Authors with their members and receive ongoing referral credits when writers choose to use the platform.

A note from the founder

Build technology around the work people actually want to be doing.

StoryFlow began because I kept seeing writers pulled away from writing by the recurring work of maintaining an online presence.

As StoryFlow developed, it became clear that the same principle applied well beyond publishing. Business owners and their teams also have more important things to do than continually manage a content calendar.

That continues to shape StoryFlow today: understand what matters about the person or business, reduce the repetitive work around staying visible, and keep the customer in control.
